Introduction

The MetaSoccer League (MSL) is a premier competitive platform in the MetaSoccer Universe! Our four-tier league system, spanning Divisions A to D, houses 16 teams per division. Division A represents the pinnacle of competition, featuring the top 16 performing teams in the metaverse. The remaining divisions host an increasingly diverse roster of teams.

Following each action-packed season, the top two teams earn a promotion to the next division (excluding Division A), while the bottom eight teams are relegated to the division below. The remaining teams retain their current positions, continuing their journey in their respective divisions.

Rules & logistics

In each group, teams compete in a home-and-away fixture system, with 16 clubs playing one match per day. A season comprises 30 matches, spanning roughly a month. At the end of the season, the top two teams from each division earn promotion, while the bottom eight face the challenge in the division below. Division D represents the final rung on our league ladder, with no subsequent relegations.

Your league position determines the $MSG earnings at the end of each season, with higher rewards for top-tier leagues.

Promotions and Relegations

As mentioned earlier, following each season, the top 2 teams ascend to a higher division (except for Division A), while the bottom 8 teams are relegated. The remaining teams maintain their current positions, intensifying the competition in their respective divisions.

In the event of a new division's inception (for example, after the first MSL edition concludes and we establish Division C with teams promoted from Division D), if the promoted teams are insufficient to populate the new division, the top 3rd-placed teams are included. If vacancies persist, we invite the highest-ranked 4th-placed teams, and continue this pattern until the division is fully populated, ensuring constant excitement across all divisions!
